Young was able to incorporate our ideas and provide objective and practical feedback to help us visualise the space we were working with. Young was always very patient to walk us through and explain things.

Young had also provided timely and clear updates throughout the renovation process. The workmanship for carpentry and plumbing was excellent. Young also went out of his way to help us procure the dining area corner fan.

The outcome of the project was highly similar to the 3D rendering provided. Friends and family who came over told us that they love the living room, the study/entertainment room, the kitchen, the master bedroom and even the toilets!

We engaged Melvin from Met Interior through a friend's recommendation. We felt that chemistry was right as he could understand the color preference that we had including loose furniture and decorative lighting and items. 

During the initial phase we would send him links and screenshots and he would reply with some of his as well. Gradually we could confirm purchase on loose furniture, lighting and decorative items very quickly because he would tell us where we could place them. 

There were a few minor hiccups during the works which was fine as he was prompt to resolve them. Overall it was a good and smooth process and we had recommended them to our friends.

My husband & I met Eric from Met Interior at the Qanvast HangouT. Prior to that, we had met up with 3 other IDs. During our 1st meet up, we conveyed to Eric what we had in mind and he was quick to show us pictures on the spot. We decided to engage him as his quote was reasonably priced and we felt comfortable working with him.
During the reno, Eric constantly kept us updated with photos of the progress. There were several times when I made last minute changes but Eric was very patient. He would give us some time to make a decision and when he knew I’m in a dilemma, he would give advice based on his experience and functionality. He also gave us valuable feedback on what furniture would fit (e.g colour & size). He was also responsive to our concerns and any defects or request even after the project was completed. The carpentry workmanship was excellent.

Ben was my interior designer and he follows all my request and tries his best to help in everything that got to do with my home renovation. 1. Why can't I work with a contractor instead?

It is true that contractors offer cheaper renovation solutions. However, contractors do not provide design and project management. The quality of work of a contractor is also not guaranteed. 

Over the years, we have heard a lot of horror stories involving contractors providing sloppy or unfinished work. This resulted to higher costs for the homeowners when they are left with no choice but to hire someone else to fix the mess.

2. How is the billing handled?

Billing may vary depending on the scope of works involved but in general the structure is as shown below.

10% upon confirmation > 30% upon commencement > 30% upon completion of wet works > 25% upon measurement of carpentry works > 5% upon handover/completion of project

3. Will there be any delays?

We have long term working relationships with highly reputable contractors and suppliers. On top of that, we go on site to supervise the renovation from start to finish to ensure that everything is going as planned. 

We will constantly keep you updated on the project status to ensure that you receive your dream home in time.

4. My apartment is quite small, should I still engage you?

Space planning is a fundamental element of interior design. We specialise in making spaces work great for your property regardless of its size. Our innovative solutions will fully optimise every inch of your apartment regardless of your design and lifestyle needs!

5. What's your design style and how much will it cost?

We are inclined towards modern designs. Our designers innovate and give a modern flair to various design styles like Scandinavian, industrial and contemporary. Of course, at the end of the day we want your home to be a projection of your own style and will tailor to your design needs and themes.

Our rates are highly competitive. We pride ourselves on being transparent with our prices. Renovations can cost anywhere from $20k onwards depending on the size and extent of wall hacking,

6. Should I still engage you if I already have a design in mind?

Proper project management is just as important as having a great design. Met Interior has long term agreements with highly reputable foremen that provide high quality and cost effective workmanship. We also have more than 200 projects under our belt, making us highly qualified in managing your renovation.

Engaging unknown contractors might end up being more expensive should problems occur during and after renovations.

7. What are your credentials?

We have been in the ID industry for 9 long years. Throughout these years, we have been featured in countless design magazines like Lookbox Living and Square Rooms. 

Met Interior is also CaseTrust Accredited and a member of the Renovation Contractors and Material Suppliers Association (RCMA).
